CRM Human Factors training can be dry and irrelevant for some organisations. Why listen to airline content if your company flies helicopters? IPAS adjusts and pitches course content based on your organisation's operations and the experience level of your employees or mission crews. Its course content is an amalgam of ICAO's recommended course content and that of CASA, the FAA and the UK's CAA.
Some tasks require a sharing of the command between the pilot in command and the person running the mission. By teaching those skills that reduce any friction points makes missions smoother and more efficient and ultimately safer. Basically, we teach how to work cooperatively and to leave our egos on the tarmac to get the job done! IPAS' Mission Crew training, a by-product of CRM, shows you how.
IPAS' Mission Crew training can be integrated into CRM training. This provides a means of practicing the skills that the CRM theory provides. It's also a great way to include your clients in your training, too. Integrated training can also be RPL'd for certain units of comptency such as Working Safely Around Aircraft.
20 years flying below 50' piloting Chinooks and Black Hawks for the military, EC-145s for Australian Customs Service and MD500s doing powerline work, and learning lessons from ag flying, and IPAS has learnt a thing or two about flying in an obstacle environment. It's included in a CRM course or you can have a specific Low Flying in a Wires and Hazards Environment Course.
Simple aircraft like the MD500; complex aircraft like the EC-145; simple tasks like charter; complex tasks like leading multi-aircraft formations in war. Flying drones for the RAAF in Afghanistan; flying humanitarian assistance in PNG, flying EMS and law enforcement in Australia. Bringing book theory and wide-ranging experience into your training requirements to make your course as interesting and enjoyable as possible.
IPAS is not a fan of trying to teach leadership. Let corporate Australia think that it can (How's that working out for you, big banks?). In the real world where real people live, and especially in high risk environments like aviation, it's all about teamwork, not just leadership. But as we know, good team members end up making good leaders. CRM/TRM shows you how to be a good team member using the NO STOPPING FOR TEAMS® methodology.
